Released in 2013, Quinn began work on her debut opus, Lost Children, while studying music at UC Davis. She spent 5 years and $10,000 or her own money to make this beautiful work. “Lost Children” is a gorgeous and finely-wrought compilation of piano-driven songs, orchestrated and produced by some of the Bay Area’s finest and most acclaimed musicians. Visually, the album is as satisfying as it is poignant, with hand-done “Song-Portraits” drawn by Rabbit for each track on the album to represent how she imagines the compositions personified. The songs of Lost Children are cathartic, poetic snapshots exploring themes of self-worth, death, sexuality, transformation and heartbreak which combine to articulate her life story.
